Controversy has become my middle name: Katrina Kaif

Bollywood's very own Barbie girl Katrina Kaif is on a success trail, as she bags a nomination in the prestigious Filmfare Awards for her role in 'New York'.

At a press conference to announce the Filmfare awards this year, she says that Filmfare should introduce a new category of award for actors like Salman and her who have never ever got any award for acting.

As an actress, what is your take on awards?
Honestly I think every actor who is a part of Bollywood wants to win.

As far as I am concerned, I would say that I am not used to winning awards for the Best Actress, though I have put in as many as six years in the film industry ever since I had made my debut with Kaizad Gustad's 'Boom'.

All that I would say is I am happy even when I am nominated for the award. I cannot complain, because I have won rewards at the box office with my films clicking in a big way consecutively in the last few years.

You have to your credit quiet a few hit numbers as an actress. To what extent do you think you deserve the credit for a hit number, like say 'Kiss Me' in the film 'Race'?
I do not like controversies though fortunately or unfortunately, controversy has become my middle name in the industry, whether I want it or not.

I agree to dance to a number only after I listen to it and I am convinced that it is catchy, foot -tapping and easy to the ear. Hence the entire credit for making the song a hit ought to go not to me who just performs to the number, but to the lyricist and the composer.

Do you agree that you are hot and sexy?
Personally I do not think that I am hot and sexy. I try not to disappoint the audiences who come to watch me in my film.

To click in Bollywood, besides the fact that you have to have talent in an abundant measure, you should also have your own appeal. You should have something special. Every actress has her own plus point to woo the audiences.

What according to you is your plus point as an actress?
If Vidya Balan is known for her ethnic roles, I am known for my fun roles. Each of us has our own place in the sun as far as Bollywood is concerned and we are not at all competing with one another.
Who do you think deserves the award besides you this year?
Though I have been nominated for the Best Actress award by Filmfare this year, I do not say that I alone deserve the award.

If you were to ask me who I would nominate for the Best Actress Award besides me, I'd say that Priyanka Chopra deserves it for her performance in 'Kaminey'. I'd also pick on Vidya Balan for her performance in 'Paa'.

What do you think is responsible for bagging an award for acting- Talent or luck?
Salman Khan has never won the Best Actor award though he has been acting for the last 21 years in Bollywood. It does not mean that he is a bad actor.

It is just that he has not been lucky to have bagged the award. If he deserves the award, come what may he will get it. If I deserve it, I'd get the award for my performance in Kabir Khan's 'New York'.

Even if I do not get it, I'd be happy because at least I was considered good enough as an actor to be nominated for the Filmfare award which is very prestigious.

One personal question… Now that Salman has declared what he feels for you, would you also express what you think of him?
Look here. Salman is very senior. I will continue to retain my stance that I am not comfortable talking about my personal life. Period.

Do you think you are lucky as an actress?
Though I do not think I am lucky as far as bagging awards are concerned, I feel that I am blessed, as an actress. Not only do I get good roles, but most of my films are also successful at the box office. What more could I have asked for?

What did you think of Zarine Khan who has made her debut with Veer?
I have just seen the second half of 'Veer'. I enjoyed watching it. I should say that Zarine was supremely confident about herself in the film, though I used to fumble initially when I used to face the camera in the early stage of my career.
Which are the actors with whom you'd love to work with, besides Salman Khan?
Any actress would love to work with superstars like Aamir Khan or for that matter Shah Rukh Khan.

The trouble is that I have not been approached to work with them till date, though I would love to act with both of them.

What kind of films do you want to have in your kitty, as an actress?
I am keen on being a part of romantic comedies like say 'When Harry Meets Sally'.

Besides awards, are you complacent as an actress with whatever you have achieved till date?
I will steal a quote of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, who had gone on record that he always likes to be seated behind, since only then will he be able to have the goal to go in front.

I'm not a glamorous doll who knows only to kiss: Udita Goswami

Udita Goswami, who has made an image of a glamour film after doing films of Bhatta camp, is going to be seen in a non-glamorous role in her forthcoming film Rokkk going to be relased in the first week of March. We had a small chat with her in the office of IkKon Film about her carrier and Rokkk.

Why did you agree to do this film?
Films like Paap, Zahar etc had bound my acting in a glamorous image and everyone was offering me the sme kind of roles.

I wanted to break out of this typed image but it was notforthcoming. Naturally so, when director Rajesh Ransinghe offered me this role I instantly agreed.

A non-glamorous role, a good subject, an experienced director of horror films, a producer who had made Sunny Deol starrer and Subhash Ghai presentation film Right Yaa Wrong. All these combined to make me decide to accept Rokkk.

What is your role in the film?
I am the younger sister of Tanushree Dutta in this film. I am named Ahana and she Anushka. She has some accident and decides to search for the culprit and get him punished. CBI Officer Ranbir, played by Shaad Randhawa inthe film, gives me company. A friendship evolves later between us.

This does not explain the story. What is it?
This is a horror movie. My sister Anushka has love-married Ravi. This is his second marriage and my mother dislikes the marriage.

Ravi gives Anushka a bunglow as gift and when they shift to it a series of murders start happening. The suspense thickens. Anyone who is suspected as the murderer gets murdered the next day.

Director Rajesh has weaved the story in such a manner that no viewer would like to leave his seat in the midst. Some people even suggest that this film should not have an intermission.

Are you superstitious in your personal life too?
No, but during the shooting of this film I felt the presence of some invisible powers.

As per the story of the film there were many exorcist rituals. Om Klin ... like mantras was regularly chanted and many a times it appeared like some invisible power is trying to stop the shooting.

Once it was held up for hours due to rain. Later it came to our knowledge that the rain was limited to half a kilmetre periphery of the shooting site. Is not it miraculous?

Many of your films were with Imran and were successful too. This time you are paired with Shaad Randhawa who was a friend of Imraan in Awarapan. Is there any reason?
First of all ours is not a romantic pair. We are just acting friends. Secondly it is none of my job, but the decision of the director. A single secretary represents all three of us. Perhaps he suggested Shaad on the demand of director Rajesh and producer Krishna Chaudhary.

How you and Tanushree went along in this film ?
We both are in the same film but it is rare when both of us are in the same frame. Though it is good for the viewers to have both of us in the same film.

Tanushree is an accomplished actress and she too has got enough opportunities to show her acting skill inthe film.

How happy are you with this change of image ?
Very happy. I hope the viewers shall recognized the actress within me and not take me merely as a glamorous doll who knows only to kiss.

This film has not a single kissing scene and none of glamour. You get to see my acting skills only.

And you also said that you will not do any more thrillers?
Yaa! I won’t do any more thrillers. I would like to do only romantic films. It is said that younger viewers cannot see my films. Now I will do such films which can be seen by all classes of viewers.

Will you name your forthcoming films?
Rokkk is the first to be release. Thereafter Amar Joshi Shaheed Ho Gaya, Chess, and Begunah are in the line.

I am what I am because of Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan Saturday said he was glad the Shiv Sena understood his point on freedom of expression and reiterated that he had never said anything that was anti-national or anti-Indian.

Shah Rukh faced flak from the Shiv Sena for his comment that Pakistani cricket players be included in the third season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He owns IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.

His comment didn't go down well with the Sena which sought an apology and threatened to stop the release of all his films in Mumbai starting with "My Name Is Khan", due for releasing Feb 12.

The Sena now reportedly has no objection to the screening of his film "My Name Is Khan" in "as many theatres and for as many days as he wants" -- as Sena supremo Bal Thackeray has said in Saamana editorial Saturday.

Shah Rukh said he had been "misunderstood" on that issue.

"I don't think I have ever said anything anti-national or non-Indian. I need not explain my Indian-ness to anybody, " he said.

"I have only said what every Indian should. I stand by what I have said. I think there's a bit of agenda and politics in all this, " Shah Rukh told reporters here.

"Often we film people find ourselves on the wrong side of politics. I don't think the Sena went against my film because it has 'Khan' in the name. The good news is that I have just heard there will be no problems with my film, " he added.

"I am glad Sena could understand my point of view... I have a personal identity, but also a national identity... We are Indians, and my Indian identity makes me believe in certain things. I don't hold anyone responsible and I stand by what I have said, " he said

The Sena had threatened it would not allow the release of Khan's new movie unless he apologized for his pro-Pakistani cricketers comments - which the actor declined to do.

Enraged by this, Sena activists tore and burnt posters of the movie and even SRK's effigies in different parts of the state, prompting the state government to provide full security to theatres and multiplexes where the movie was slated for release.

Later, Sena leaders unofficially retracted from having issued any such diktat to ban the movie and it is expected that it may be released without any problems now.

Khan urged that arts, sports and culture should not be mixed with politics as they help in building better ties between countries.

"I agree there are political problems between the two countries (India and Pakistan), but when it comes to sports, culture and arts, they should not be involved in politics, " Khan said.

On why his team Kolkata Knight Riders did not select any Pakistani players for IPL, Khan said it is discretion of the coach and the captain.

"I cannot question their strategy and capacity. Moreover, there was only one slot available and nobody told us to take or not to take any Pakistani players. We also have to take into consideration the prevailing atmosphere."

The actor also shared his family's concern after the furore.

"My daughter asked me over the phone if we'll have to leave India, " he said.

The actor returned here from visit to the US and Britain Saturday after promoting "My Name Is Khan" with director Karan Johar and actress Kajol.

Considering the gravity of the situation and the circumstances, he and Kajol came out separately from the airport. He was accompanied by a sea of police personnel as well as his own security guards. Johar left the airport premises separately.

The state government as well as the police here have promised full cover to cinema properties where "My Name Is Khan" would be screened.

At the airport, Shah Rukh pointed out his proximity with the Thackeray family.

"I will go meet Balasaheb if he calls me. He is a senior leader. I have gone in the past when he's called me. I enjoy his company, " he said.

He also spoke out in favour of Mumbai - a sensitive topic with the Shiv Sena.

"I am what I am because of Mumbai. I want everyone in Mumbai to be happy. Why should we have this kind of stress? Let's be patient and talk it out, " he said.

I can't keep quite: Divya Dutta

Divya Dutta is a known face in Bollywood and a superstar in Punjabi film industry. She blew off audience with her blockbuster hit ‘Shaheed E Mohabbat- Boota Singh’ and many other films pairing up with superstar Gurdas Maan.

Her performance in supporting roles in Yash Raj Film’s ‘Veer-Zaara’ and Shyam Benegal’s ‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’ have been much appreciated by audience and critics alike. She has also done lead role in tele-serial ‘Shanno ki Shadi’.

In a conversation Divya Dutta talks about her latest film ‘Sukhmani- Hope for life’, her on-set pranks and association with superstar Gurdas Maan and Juhi Chawla.

I have the best calves to display: Esha Deol

Esha Deol, in her own words, is bruised black and blue. This month after participating in a camel race in Jaisalmer and doing road stunts in Goa for her mother's production Tell Me Oh Khuda, Esha can barely move a limb.

“The director Mayur Puri and the fight master Parvez Bhai forgot I was all said and done, a girl and therefore delicate in my own way. This has been the most physically demanding experience of my life, ” says Esha wincing in pain.

Twenty-six years after Hema Malini got on a camel in the Rajasthan deserts to sing the haunting Ae dil-e-nadaan in Kamal Amrohi's Razia Sultan, Esha rode the camel like a pro in Jaisalmer.

Protests Esha, “In Razia Sultan Mom was singing on the camel. I was wincing in pain. For ten days I rode the camel like a professional for a camel race along with Arjan Bajwa, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Sudhandhu Pande.

I was the only girl in the team. But people seemed to forget that. But if I may say so, I had the best calves on display in the typical Rajasthani camel-rider's costume, the kurta lungi and all.”

For the first few days Esha was in a daze. “The seat on top of the camel is so rough and so unfriendly to comfortable riding, my knees and inner thighs were constantly bruised.

When my mother saw I was hurt she was livid. But I told her to chill. And we continued shooting on the camels for a good week after that. Now I can call myself an expert camel rider.”

Esha's training in kick-boxing held her in good stead. “For the last two years I've subconsciously been training for this film. I needed to get physically fit. Which I've done. And I needed to mature emotionally. That too, I think, I've achieved.”

Esha says shooting Tell Me Oh Khuda has been like shooting three different films.

“We shoot in three different continents with three different cinematographers. So it's like doing three different films. In Turkey I shot with Rishi Kapoorji and in Jaisalmer I'm shooting with Vinod Khannaji.”

Now Esha wants to bring her father Dharmendra and mom Hema together for the last segment of the film.

“It's a dream for me to have them in the same film as me, so that one day I can tell my grandchildren, 'I made this happen.'. And I will make it happen.”

The Biggest Scandals of 2009!!!

Sreya Basu rides the Bollywood glam bus of 2009 packed with hot happenings, spicy gossips and half-truths.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: Aishwarya made up with Shah Rukh Khan at Karan Johar's birthday party this year. Things went bitter between the two after SRK replaced Ash with Rani Mukherji in 'Chalte Chalte' in 2003.

Abhishek Bachchan: Bachchan Junior faced a real humiliation at Cannes Film Festival, with the international press running only after his wife and L'Oreal ambassador Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

The ignorance reached the limit, when Abhi was sidelined and asked to wait at the end of the Red Carpet while all lenses were only interested in clicking a solo Ash or with the rest of the L'Oreal team. Later this year, he played father to his real life father Amitabh Bachchan in their home production 'Paa'.

Amisha Patel: This year Amisha decided to go for a live-in relationship with beau Kanav Puri.

Amrita Rao: Amrita dropped her 'behenjee' (sister-like) look and also lots of clothes this year. Fashion designer and her old friend Manish did the makeover of the year. The result: we got a sexy, hot avatar of Amrita, completed with plunging necklines, hot pants and perfect make-up.

Asin: The 'Ghajini' girl surely got lucky this year too. If one Khan (Aamir) gave her a successful break in Bollywood, media buzz said the other Khan (Salman) got the Southern siren a new house in Mumbai. As usual, Asin denied the news and said: “I earn enough to look after myself.”

Ayesha Takia: Ayesha's father-in-law and politician Abu Asim Azmi asked her to wear a 'burkha' (traditional Islam outfit) while campaigning for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections this year. As a result, Ayesha and her restauranteur husband Farhan are moving to a new house.

Bipasha Basu: Bips denied to share screen space with Tabu in Rohit Shetty's 'All the Best'. Bipasha convinced Rohit to have only her in the climax; hearing this, Tabu refused to play a second fiddle to someone like Bips.

Celina Jaitley: 'Hot Bod' Celina got into a verbal war with yoga guru Baba Ramdev over homosexuality. While Ramdev claimed he can 'cure' homosexuality and accused Celina (who works on the rights of homosexuals) of 'knowing nothing about Indian tradition', Celina, in turn, said Ramdev has 'no right' to comment on other people's lives and preferences.

Deepika Padukone: Deepika called off her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. Both the actors are tight-lipped about the reason behind the break up. Early this year, Deepika came under the fury of Kareena 'Size Zero' Kapoor for playing Saif Ali Khan's lady love in his home production 'Love Aaj Kal'. As it is, Bebo was disheartened as Saifu and director Imtiaz Ali cast Deepika in the film instead of her. Adding to the fire, Deepika left out Bebo from the invitee list at a trial of the film.

Esha Deol: Hema Malini's eldest daughter literally vanished from limelight in 2009. When she made a public appearance at the end of the year, there were speculations that she has undergone a plastic surgery.

Jiah Khan: Jiah dropped in as an 'uninvited guest' at Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri's party at Mannat. She was reportedly intoxicated and grabbed every one's attention with her loud ways. Gauri asked her to leave.

Kangna Ranaut: Kangna split with Adhyayan Suman after dating him for over a year. “We both decided to part ways…we want to focus on our career before thinking of other things,” Kangna said.

Kareena Kapoor: Saif Ali Khan said Shahid Kapoor got 'Kaminey' because he rejected it; in turn, Shahid slammed him in public. Kareena intervened between her lover and ex-lover and tried to soothe things down, voicing all praise for Shahid.

Bebo, who had earlier said she will never work with her old flame again, changed her tune this year-“Who said I won't work with Shahid again? I liked his performance in Kaminey.”

Lara Dutta: Lara dumped Kelly Dorjee, only to be ditched by Dino Morea. However, she found some solace in swimming with dolphins underwater in the film 'Blue'. The rest of the calm was restored by late night dinners with married tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi.

Malaika Arora Khan: Malaika continued her tiff with brother-in-law Salman's girlfriend Katrina Kaif this year. She skipped Kat's birthday bash and whenever the two came face-to-face, nothing more than a formal greeting was exchanged between them.

Minissha Lamba: Minissha continued with her 'drop-cloth-and-look sexy' mantra post 'Kidnap'. Though the actor claimed it was not a deliberate transformation, she did over 200 photo sessions in 2009 with the same look.

Neetu Chandra: Neetu grabbed eyeballs after her photo session with model Krishika Gupta for a men's magazine. Social activists put up protests against her for allegedly promoting lesbianism.

Neha Dhupia: Neha Dhupia got upset after she was forcibly smooched by global tycoon Richard Branson while she was shooting for a music channel.

Priyanka Chopra: Piggy Chops got humiliated at IIFA Macau this year while collecting her Best Actress trophy for 'Fashion' by none other than Ashutosh Gowariker. Ashu, prompted by Jaya Bachchan, said: “Priyanka I love you. But I don't know how you got the award when Aishwarya is also nominated for 'Jodha Akbar'.”

Sameera Reddy: Sameera picked up fight and eventually got into a scuffle with security guards of Malaysia Prime Minister during shooting of s South Indian film in Malaysia. “I was wearing a dress and a jacket. So they thought I am a Westerner. That's why they misbehaved,” Sameera said.

Sonam Kapoor: Even after being the new face of L'Oreal, Sonam's dream to walk the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival remained a dream with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan making it clear that she is the face of the international line-up, not the Kapoor lass. As a result, while Sonam went back to her 'Aisha' shoots, Ash sashayed the Cannes Red Carpet.

Sushmita Sen: Sush took her young boyfriend-Mudassar Azis-to meet her parents in Kolkata, giving enough hints that the ex-Miss Universe has finally found her soulmate.

But things went sour this year with the 'Dulha Mil Gaya' director pushing her to get married. According to media buzz, Sush has even driven Aziz out of her Mumbai home.

I'm looking my best these days but there is no one to see it

What would’ve been a routine birthday bash for Sameera Reddy on Sunday night turned out to be a very special occasion when Priyadarshan who has just given the actress her first hit since Race in De Dana Dan turned around and said, “You’re in my next film.”

Sameera who has become very close to Priyan and his wife Lizzie and in fact spends all her free time during her frequent visits to Chennai in their house is still reeling in pleasure.

“I couldn’t have got a better birthday gift. Firstly it turned out to be Priyan and Lizzie’s marriage anniversary. So we had my birthday and their anniversary party at Shristi Behl’s residence. All three of us Lizzie, Priyan and I cut a cake.”

The icing on the cake was Priyan’s impulsive offer. “I don’t need to ask him what it is or in which film. I trust him completely. He gave me a role in De Dana Dan that did justice to my presence. This, at a time when I was desperately trying to shed my sexy image.”

Not many people know this. But Sameera has a secret special appearance in the Bihar-based film that Priyan is shooting with Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna and Bipasha Basu.

“How do you know about this?” Sameera demands to know. “So that makes it three film with Priyan. I’m really lucky to have Priyan and his wife as friends. Now when I go to Chennai which is like a second home to me thanks to the work that I do.In fact my latest Tamil hit was mixed in Priyan’s studio in Chennai, so the bond thickens.”

Her prestigious film Nagesh Kukunoor’s Yeh Husla remains stuck.

Says Sameera softly, “That’s because the producers Percept have bungled. They’re in a real financial mess. They owe and almost everyone associated with them quite a lot of money.”

Sameera herself remains solitary in Mumbai. “My sister Meghna is now married to a Greek and settled on the most exotic Greek island. My brother-in-law spoils me silly. They both love me because I convinced our conservative dad about the unlikely marital alliance.”

Specially after her sister’s marriage Sameera really misses a man in her life. “It gets really lonely. And I know I’m looking my best these days. Thanks to yoga I’ve lost oodles of flesh. But what’s the point of looking good when you’ve no one to admire you?”

Age may be just a number. But in Bollywood Sameera knows her time is numbered. “At the party at Shristi Behl’s I just kept staring at Twinkle Khanna. She was glowing. She just keeps getting better with the years.I hope I look as radiant when I reach that age.”

Lara Dutta had a fling with Tiger Woods too?

Tiger Woods' sordid tale has just got interesting. We hear that the ace golfer could have also been linked to Lara Dutta.

In 2001, a year after she won the Miss Universe title in Cyprus, the rumour was doing the rounds that Lara might have dated Tiger for a while.

A report published in USA Today way back in 2001 stated: "And, oh yes. He (Tiger Woods) denied that he was dating Miss Universe Lara Dutta of India."

The US tabloid reported that Tiger also denied "trying to steal Lara from New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter". "Nothing more than gossip, probably put out by Dutta's camp, the Woods Foundation people surmise, " the report added.

If Lara Dutta link actually turns out to be true, this will add an interesting twist that everyone has been waiting for. For the most part, Tiger's alleged mistresses are Caucasian and many of them are blondes. Lara Dutta could be the first hint of ethnicity in Tiger's menu of women, which is a welcomed change of events.

Below is the list of Tiger’s alleged lovers :

1. Rachel Uchitel, New York nightclub promoter and event planner
2. Jaimee Grubbs, Las Vegas reality show contestant and waitress
3. Kalika Moquin, Las Vegas nightclub-marketing manager
4. Jamie Jungers, Las Vegas lingerie model and waitress
5. Mindy Lawton, waitress in Orlando
6. Cori Rist, New York nightclub butterfly
7. Holly Sampson, porn star and a high profile escort
8. Unidentified British television host
9. Unidentified female, who is said to have a corporate position
10. Unidentified female, described as a “sex-addicted cougar.”
11. Joslyn James, porn star
12. Lore Dana Jolie, Playboy model and escort
13. Theresa Rogers, ‘fitness nut’
14. Unidentified female, supposedly a lawyer
15. Jessica Simpson, singer and actress.
16. Lara Dutta, Miss Universe and Bollywood actress ???

Priyanka loses 'Desi Girl' war to Katrina Kaif

Priyanka Chopra who was touted to be the leading lady of Dostana sequel is now said to have lost the project to her archrival Katrina Kaif. We hear that Piggy Chops will only be seen in the film for a brief period of time and it is Katrina who'll be playing a romantic interest to Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham.

We hear director Tarun Mansukhani is now busy penning an interesting scene where both the actresses will be seen locking horns.

Confirming the news a source told a daily, “It’s a face-off between Katrina and Priyanka. However, it is not a bitchy or dramatic scene, but a comic and light-hearted one.

Priyanka makes her entry when the Desi girl track (Priyanka’s song from ‘Dostana’) starts playing. The boys in the club then start looking at her instead of Katrina. The latter gets upset that the focus has shifted to Priyanka and breaks into a sexy dance with her.

Priyanka’s presence in the film was decided even before Tarun started scripting the film. In fact, she had personally told Tarun that she wanted to be part of the sequel.”

Mansukhani also confirmed Priyanka’s presence in the film but denied having decided on a scene for her.

Talking to a daily, he said, “Yes, Priyanka will surely be part of the film. She’s not just my favourite actress but also a very dear person. She has an important role. However, I am yet to figure out where and how she will appear as I am still in the scripting process.”

Comparison with Katrina Kaif is insulting, fumes Kareena!!!

While Zarine Khan finds it flattering to be compared with Katrina, Kareena Kapoor is fuming with the reports of her comparisons to Kaif. A recent article in a B-town tabloid declared the both actresses are on par and their films in 2010 which will prove who will come out on the top.

A source close to the actress confirms the news and says, "Bebo has been around for years and she has done tons of performance-oriented films. Her body of work is different. How can you compare them?"

But the similarities between both the hotties are too many to be ignored. For starters they share their initials; both started with duds; they have the same endorsement manager; they share a PR manager. As far as the physical attributes go, again, both are tall, fair and beautiful.

According to a trade analyst, “It is hard very to choose between Kareena and Katrina. They’re both neck-to-neck. In Bollywood, people respect talent but they also give a lot of importance to Friday favourites."

Both the gorgeous girls have their hand full in 2010. While Kareena has Karan Johar’s remake of Stepmom, Red Chillies’ Ra 1, Illuminati Films’ Agent Vinod and Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Returns, Katrina is rumoured to have been cast in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar and Karan Johar’s Dostana 2 but these films will not release this year. Her Rajneeti is ready for release.

Let's wait and watch who steals the show and becomes the clear No.1.

Revealed: Why Ranbir is skipping Imran-Avantika's engagement

It is the biggest day of Imran Khan's life. The Jaane Tu... star is getting engaged to his long time sweetheart Avantika Malik in a grand ceremony to be held tonight.

Though it is going to be a lavish affair when the two exchange rings at Avantika's family farmhouse in Karjat, Imran has planned to keep it as a close family affair. The actor says that he doesn't want his engagement to be a “tamasha”!

Talking to a news daily about the special day, Imran said, “We have invited 300 guests, mostly family and close friends. We wanted to keep it personal.”

To make the entire day a special outing all the guests have been invited to a daylong outing that includes a brunch, followed by the ceremony and dinner in the evening.

As for the guest list, Imran revealed, “Aamir Khan will be there with wife Kiran, so will Mansoor (Imran's uncle) and family.” His father Ajit Pal is coming from the US. Though his parents are divorced, he is on amicable terms with his father. Imran's in-laws-to-be, Ranjev and Vandana Malik are also very ecstatic about their daughter's big day.

There are few big film personalities who are going to attend the ceremony and their name are Sonam Kapoor, Karan Johar, Deepika Padukone and Abbas Tyrewala. Though 'friend' Ranbir Kapoor is conspicuously missing from the list.
We hear that that Ranbir dated Imran's girl Avantika for five years before Khan came on the picture. He is also believed to have given the event a miss in order to avoid any awkward rendezvous with Deepika Padukone. He is currently shooting in the US for Anjaana Anjaani and will not be back in Mumbai after the schedule of the film ends mid-February.

Buzz is that Imran surprised Avantika by gifting her a swanky new red fancy car, which has always been her dream car. Talking to a leading daily Imran tells, “I knew that Avantika had always wanted this car, even six years back when we were studying in the US.

So, I just knew that I had to buy one for her and this occasion was just the perfect excuse. Since the car has just launched, I had to convince the top bosses to let me have one, way before it actually hits the roads in a few months time. That took quite an effort. But her smile made it all worth it.”

Well, we would just say - Congratulations Imran and Avantika. May God shower his choicest blessings on both you.

A harsh reality check for Genelia D'Souza

Actress Genelia D'Souza says she has become more aware of the extent of poverty in India after hosting reality TV show 'Big Switch', which featured 10 rich children who gave up their comfortable lifestyles to fulfil the dreams of slum children.

"'Big Switch' was about a rich dreamer giving up his dreams to make another dreamer's wish come true - helping someone who couldn't afford to realise his or her dream.

I have seen some of the most emotional moments between the rich and poor kids, which has given me a serious reality check in life, " Genelia told over phone from Mumbai.

"There's so much poverty in India, yet the people in slums have the courage to dream. I took up 'Big Switch' simply because it was a reality show in good light. The concept exuded positivity, and the soul of the show was very clean, " she added.

The show, which aired on UTV Bindass, had its finale Saturday. Genelia played a host, a friend and an advisor to all the children throughout the show. She says she was extremely touched during one episode.

"I have seen the rich kids do some of the sweetest things for their slum friends. I have seen them going to the extent of collecting cow dung with their bare hands - and all this for someone they have no relation with. I had tears in my eyes that day and it really gave me a reality check, " the 22-year-old said.
Though Genelia is happy with the way her small screen debut turned out, she isn't too sure if she will be seen on television shows again soon.

"I haven't really thought about doing any other shows on TV. Films are my main focus at the moment. I have been working very hard for them, " she said.

Genelia has been juggling between the southern film industry and Bollywood for the past five years but it was Imran Khan-starrer "Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na" that brought her to the forefront of Hindi movies.

Her latest movie "Chance Pe Dance", which paired her with Shahid Kapoor, released to average reviews Friday. Genelia is now working with the likes of Anees Bazmee in "It's My Life" and David Dhawan-John Abraham in "Hook Ya Crook".

Asked if there were any specific roles she wanted to do, Genelia said: "I have never planned my career. Whatever comes my way, I try and make the best of it."

Katrina and Salman are not splitting!

Katrina-Salman relationship has gown through lots of ups and downs.

The rumours about their parting ways were strongly doing rounds in recent times. But if sources are to be believed the beautiful pair are still growing strong and the rumours about Katz seeing her Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani co-star Ranbir Kapoor have proved baseless.

This was confirmed when both were spotted getting close at the rehearsal of Star Screen Awards.

A reliable source from the sets informs, “At the rehearsal of Star Screen Awards, Salman was about to leave and at the same time, Katrina Kaif entered and requested him to stay back. They both looked very comfortable with each other and Salman even accompanied Katrina till her vanity van.”

The closeness between Salman and Katz at the rehearsal of Star Screen Awards put rest to all the rumors and certainly indicates all is well between Katz and Salman.

Ishqiya MOVIE REVIEW

Starring: Naseeruddin Shah, Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi and Salman Shahid

Director: Abhishek Chaubey

Rating: ***1/2

Two crooks on the run, Khaalujaan (Naseer) and Babban (Arshad) arrive at beautiful widow Krishna’s (Vidya Balan) doorstep. They tell her they were late hubby’s good friends at one point of time.

The duo has actually run away from their Jiju Mushtaq (Salman Shahid) after duping him of a huge sum of money and is hiding at Krishna’s house to save their lives from him.

But Mushtaq arrives at Krishna’s house and warns them to give back his money in 15 days or face death. The duo then on Krishna’s insistence plans to kidnap a mill owner for the same. Meanwhile, Krishna begins her flirting game with the two.

While Khaalujaan loses his heart to her, Babban ends up getting physically involved with her. But then Krishna has her own agenda which the two are completely unaware of which may leave them in a shock!

Debutante director Abhishek Chaubey has been a Vishal Bharadwaj assistant for almost all his films and has co-written them as well. This explains the reason why throughout the film you keep getting the film that you watching a Vishal Bharadwaj film.

Abhishek has handled the film like a pro and it doesn’t appear his first effort at all. However, he takes a bit of a time before the interval to set things up but post it the grip is tight and narrative just perfect.

With the film set in eastern UP, the dialogues are as real as they can get. However, the use of expletives and double meaning dialogues could have been lessened. The smooching scene between Vidya and Arshad is quiet long too.

Naseeruddin Shah is just excellent playing Khaalujaan and you can’t think of anyone else in his place for the role. Arshad playing completely to the gallery is in top form after a long time.

Vidya is in a completely opposite role to her recently released Paa pleasantly shocks with her range and uninhibited act. Pakistani actor Salman Shahid last seen in Kabul Express is impressive. The village kid playing Arshad’s buddy is too good.

Vishal Bharadwaj’s music of the film is already topping the charts with the pick of the lot being Dil To Bachcha Hai Jee and Ibn-e-Batuta. Vidya’s hilarious in the Ibn-e-Batuta number.

Watch Ishqiya for its crazy zany characters and excellent direction.

My Name Is Khan MOVIE REVIEW

Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Jimmy Shergill, Zarina Wahab

Director: Karan Johar

Rating ****

Questions of religious and national identity, of the sense of right and wrong, of combating a certain isolation that comes with a behavioural disorder. But what triumphs over all the complexities unfolding in a tumultuous post 9/11 America is Rizwan Khan and his essential goodness that tells you unwaveringly - his name is Khan and he is not a terrorist.

Director Karan Johar is in unfamiliar territory here. No candyfloss romance, no sweet nothings, nobody breaking into song. Just the super intelligent Rizwan, who has Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism, his halting voice with his inability to communicate, and his many relationships - with his mother, his brother, and yes, Mandira, and her son Sam.

Move over Rahul, Rizwan is here. Shah Rukh makes the transition from the eternal romantic to the intense Rizwan who finds love and loses it some years later when his Khan identity becomes all important in a tense, suspicious America. You sit through three hours waiting to get a glimpse of Shah Rukh through Rizwan Khan, but it doesn't happen.

If Shah Rukh lives and breathes Rizwan in what is one of his finest roles, Kajol as Mandira, the vivacious single mother, is also good - as always. The chemistry between them if not always crackling, then heartwarming.

It's an unlikely romance, not very easy to portray. But it's dealt with a light touch. There they are sitting on either side of the bed after their wedding with Mandira telling Rizwan, who doesn't like to be hugged, that this is something they can't do without touching. It's a scene that could quite easily have gone wrong, but it doesn't.

All credit to Karan Johar for that.

Like a piece of music that gradually rises to grand crescendo, "My Name Is Khan" begins with Rizwan as a child with his mother - so good to see Zarina Wahab after such a long time - in a tenement in Mumbai and ends with cheers from the US' first African American president in a crowded rally.

It's from his mother that Rizwan learns his first lessons of humanity; as the 1983 Mumbai riots rage outside, she tells the young boy that the world is divided into good people and bad people.

It is this essential humanism that carries Rizwan through from Mumbai to San Francisco where his brother stays, then to the suburb of Banville where he moves in with Mandira and Sam, and even when he is taken to be a terror suspect.

Sam, his "only best friend", is subjected to a vicious race attack because he takes on Rizwan's surname. Mandira hits back, saying that the worst thing she could have done was marry a Khan and Rizwan is out on the roads - unable to articulate his feelings but backpacking his way across the US to meet "president sahib" so he can tell him: "My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist."

It is a road journey through a troubled post 9/11 America towards humanism and the essential goodness of the human spirit.

This is a US where chanting the name of Allah gets you into trouble, where the word terrorist and Khan in conjunction can put you behind bars. Rizwan moves from being a terror suspect to a nationwide hero who exposes a terror mastermind. And then, the man with the mission who travels to Wilhelmina that is literally drowning in a hurricane to supervise a heroic rescue mission.
There's Afghanistan and Iraq, Bush and Obama too.

The US' first African American president is voted in and, in that final feel good moment Rizwan meets him in front of thousands of people and his goodness is validated.

Plenty of great one liners. When he is refused entry into a presidential fundraiser for the poor in Africa that is only for Christians, he leaves behind $500 saying: "This if for those who are not Christians in Africa."

The music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy is superb.

This is not a film without flaws, it is at least 20 minutes too long for one and flags in the pre-interval period, but here is one straight from the heart.

It has a message, in these days of tensions over language and religion, one which needs to be heard. Go watch.

Break Ke Baad: Deepika teams up with Ranbir's archrival Imran

Don’t read too much between the lines. But right after Deepika Padukone’s break with Ranbir Kapoor she’s doing film called Break Be Baad with Imran Khan.

That’s what Kunal Kohli has chosen to call his the first film that he’s producing and not directing.

Says Kunal, “Me and my director Danish Aslam always wanted to call his film Break Ke Baad because it’s about a couple Imran and Deepika who break up and want to come together. But since we didn’t have the rights to the title we didn’t want to announce it officially.”

Kunal and his team couldn’t locate the legal owners of the title anywhere in Mumbai. “We finally tracked it down to Bangalore to a 60-year old gentleman who deals in electrical goods. He owns a company called Seva Films.

He hopes to make films that would change the world. Break Be Baad is one of the titles he had registered. He loved our idea and gladly parted with the title.

Just like Break Ke Baad, while writing Hum Tum I wanted my film to be called only that. Milind Soman had that title. I called him for it and finally he sold it to us for 1.5 lakhs! I just had to have Hum Tum as my title, just as it was imperative to get Break Ke Baad. There could no other title. Fortunately there was no fuss this time.”
However getting permission to shoot in Delhi was far more difficult.

Says Kunal, “So many recent films have been shot in Delhi. Now the rules for shooting in the Capital have changed. I could write a thesis on what I’ve gone through to get permission to shoot in Delhi.”

Kunal’s problems as a producer don’t end there. He has been denied permission to shoot on the Gold Coast. “So we’ll have to shoot in Cape Town and fudge the Gold Coast.”

Break Ke Baad is set in Delhi and Australia.

Says Kunal, “This would be my first film as an independent producer. I did Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic which was a co- production. So many new directors are getting opportunities that we never had when we came in.”

Kunal is yet to finalize the cast for his own directorial venture. “But I’m so glad Danish has got a dream pair. Imran and Deepika together sounds good to everyone.”

Salman Khan does a hot item song with Bhabhi Malaika

Salman Khan and his beautiful sister-in-law Malaika Arora have never before shared screen space, let alone performed an item song together.

The status quo changes this Tuesday (12 January) when the sizzling Malaika known to set the screen on fire with song- and-dance numbers like Chaiyyan chaiyyan (with Shah Rukh Khan) in Dil Se and Mahi ve in Kaante, is all set to do an item song with Salman Khan for the Abhinav Kashyap-directed Dabangg.

The song which goes with the raunchy title Munni badnaam hui darling tere liye is composed by Lalit Pandit. Salman’s new best-friend Farah Khan will choreograph the sizzling-hot track.

Malaika’s husband Arbaaz Khan who produces Dabangg confirms Malaika’s item song with Salman. “It’s a very earthy track in one of those rugged sweaty Bihari bars, something like Beedi jalaile on Omkara but different.

Malaika will play a dancer who has come from out of town to regale the revelers. While she will be dancing Salman joins her.”

While the rest of the songs in Dabangg are composed by Sajid-Wajid, the Salman-Malaika item song is tuned by Lalit Pundit.

Says Arbaaz, “When I heard the track I knew I had to have it in Dabangg. It will set the the charts on fire. And Malaika will certainly do justice to it.”

Although Arbaaz has a pivotal role in Dabangg he doesn’t share any scenes with his wife.

Says Arbaaz, “My hands are pretty full as producer and actor in Dabangg. I’m enjoying every bit of it.

We want the film to come out as something special, and not just another movie. Though it’s a full-on action-packed drama Dabangg will present Salman like never before.”

Arbaaz hopes to release Dabangg during Eid this year

Anushka did not want to kiss Shahid Kapoor at all

Recently, Anushka Sharma showed her disapproval over kissing Shahid Kapoor.

Yes, it is a wonder because any girl would leap at the opportunity to kiss Shahid but Anushka made her discomfort very apparent. This is because she had to smooch him not just once but three times.

The kisses came into the script because Anushka and Shahid got along really well on the sets of the film in the U.S. Director Parmeet Sethi and YRF obviously wanted to show this chemistry on screen too.

As Anushka wasn't too happy about the kissing scenes, Parmeet had to convince her a lot until she agreed. Shahid, on the other hand, made no fuss about kissing her.

Meanwhile, the film has completed shooting and is going through its editing stage. Now all that's left is to see if the kisses survive the editing and the Censor Board's snipping

Cold War: Katrina and Deepika's face-off

Recently, when Ranbir Kapoor's ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone and his close friend Katrina Kaif bumped into each other at Mehboob Studios, it would have been foolish of people to not expect sparks to fly. But there was an icy-ness of sorts in the air when they even refused to acknowledge each other's presence.

Deepika was at Mehboob Studios for a photo shoot with Farhan Akhtar. When it was a little late in the afternoon, she was giving her solo shots in the garden area.

Just as she was getting her make-up touched up, Katrina walked in and everyone turned to look at her. She had come in there mistaking it to be the venue for her shoot.

Katrina and Deepika made eye contact for a few seconds until Katrina turned away, with her head held high, completely ignoring Deepika's presence.

It is a known fact that Deepika and Katrina aren't the best of friends, given that Katrina is the reason Deepika and Ranbir broke up.

I don't see myself in a bikini ever: Vidya Balan

While her contemporaries Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta are flaunting their curves in bikinis, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is happy and comfortable in her favourite attire - the sari - and says she will never wear a bikini.

"I don't see myself in a bikini ever. I am very comfortable in my saris and other Indian attire. Even if the script demands, I don't think I will ever wear one, " she said at a press conference in the Big Cinemas here Thursday.

Previously, Vidya had received a lot of flak for her dressing sense and plump body.

Taking all that criticism in a positive manner, the 30-year-old actress has slimmed drastically and is looking ravishing in her sleek avatar. She is seen wearing mostly saris at functions and promotional events.

"I have started loving the seedha palla (straight fall) of the sari. I am very comfortable in Indian attires and I guess I carry them off pretty well, " she said

Katrina Kaif to be back in bikini for Dostana 2

Bikini days are back for Katrina Kaif. While Piggy Chops, who did the original Dostana, wore a sizzling gold swimsuit, reports claim that Katrina too will be seen in daring pieces of beachwear for two scenes in the sequel.

Earlier, as a newcomer Kat had sported a bikini for her movie Boom. Ever since we have not seen the dame in a swimsuit. But to be in a Dharma Production film a bikini act is a must so Kaif will do the honour as well. Apart from wearing hot ensembles, Katrina will also sport a sexy look for the film.

We hear that Manish Malhotra will be designing the beachwear for Katrina keeping in mind her comfort level. Even though the sketches aren't on the drawing table yet, there have been discussions on what styles and shades will suit Kat best.

A source says, "‘Dostana 2’ plans to take the fun quotient to another level and also have a lot of sex appeal. Katrina has one of the best bodies in the industry and having her sport beach wear will be a huge attraction for the film."

"She hasn`t sported the sexy look for a while. In ‘Dostana 2’, she will be seen in clothes that make her look more sexy than cute, “added the source.

Apart from Dostana 2, Katrina will be playing a wannabe item girl in Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan, which could mean plenty of glamour in itsy-bitsy outfits.

No one wants to go out with me any more: Preity Zinta

After attending the Harvard business school Preity Zinta is all set to dabble in various aspects of the entertainment industry, including production.

Preity feels she is now equipped to handle her role as an entrepreneur far better.

Speaking at length on her experiences for the first time Preity says, “I took the plunge in December and went back to school, to Harvard School. Believe you me, it was the most enriching experience of my life. I didn't do it because I wanted to go back to college. I wanted to learn about business management so I could be a better entrepreneur.”

Preity attended classes at Harvard for three weeks every day from 9 am to 11 pm. “When I joined films I never went to an acting school.

Then last year I did a two-day workshop with Anupam Kher. It enriched me so much. I wondered why I never went to acting school. Now that I'm an entrepreneur I didn't want to look back and ask the same question one day.

I had to go to the best business school in the world. When I filled out the admission form for Harvard my hands were shaking. I had tried earlier and couldn't get in.”

When Preity got selected for Harvard she was ecstatic. “I got in on sheer merit and not because I was a star in Bollywood. When I went there I was so nervous. I wasn't even computer savvy.

I was scared I wouldn't understand a lot of what was said in the classes. And I didn't. But I wasn't scared to put up my hand in class and ask questions. No one knew me there.”
Soon of course word spread among the Asians in the campus that Preity Zinta was in their midst.

Laughs the hassle-free actress. “The Indians in the faculty did recognize me eventually. They were taken aback that I was coming to Harvard. But they were discreet. They'd come up and say. 'Oh my God, what're you doing here? Why aren't you doing movies any more?'

At the gym on the campus I saw a work-out dance class for cardio exercizes and when I went there they were dancing to Bollywood stuff including my Where's the party tonight.

When I joined them the dance instructor said, 'You really move your hips well.' I had the best time of my life. I felt so proud to see so many young Asian students in Harvard. That was the future. It was fantastic.

I learnt negotiations and mergers acquisitions, etc. There were students from all over the world, including of course Asians. More than the just the course, the questions that the students asked were so pertinent.”

Preity is ready to apply her newly-found business acumen to various ventures.“But as far as my role in the IPL cricket team is concerned it's all settled down now.I don't need to give that much time to cricket. My focus is now back to movies. I'm on the verge of signing new films.”

Speaking about her new equation with Ness Wadia as purely business partners Preity shakesher head, “The media has been trying to find awkwardness in our equation. Why should that be? We're still good friends.

We're no longer seeing each other. We're colleagues now. If ever I'm in a situation I'm sure he'd watch my back, as I'd watch his. But would people let go of this fascination with the equation between me and Ness? It's been one year since we broke up.”

Preity feels her mode of discreet frankness in her public conduct is now getting outdated. “I'm surrounded by celebrities who are constantly discussing their personal lives. I'm the same Preity Zinta I used to be. You won't find me discussing my private life in detail.

I'm in a very good space right now. The only problem is, any man whom I'm seen with in public is automatically linked with me. I've come to a place where none of my male friends want to go out with my any more! I think I'll just have to pick my date for the next public event through a contest.”

Preity has been spending a lot of time outside Mumbai. On Republic Day she was in Delhi hanging out with her closest school friend Shagun.

“I watched the Republic Day parade on television. I love the parade. It's a moment of great pride every year. There's so much chaos all around us. That's one day and one sphere of activity where we see a comforting discipline and elegance. It's always been this way.

Whenever I'm not shooting I'm out of the country. Don't get me wrong. I love Mumbai to death. But tell me what can an actor can do in the city if she isn't working? I can't go out partying. I can't even take a jog. What do I do on a Sunday? I can't even go out.

Now (after the Ness episode) it's become worse. I can't go out with any guy. If I do I've to beg some women to come along, otherwise the guy and I get linked up.I can't handle it anymore.”

To Preity's horror she now has to cope with rumours of being linked not only with her co-stars but also with cricketers. “Can you imagine, members of my own team!I've always maintained I'd never mix business and pleasure.

Now that I'm getting fully into business I'm narrowing my chances of finding a man. I know I'd never get into criminal activities, so maybe…..”

And Preity bursts into long throaty laughter.

“Last year I was too busy experiencing life to talk about it. 2009 was a year of learning for me. Now I reap the dividends of what I learnt. I went back to college. I realized there's so much to me that that I and forgotten.

I wasn't traveling and nursing a broken heart. Just because I wasn't giving explanations. The worst you can do to someone who's recovering from an emotional setback is to crowd them.

I should've been left alone. It's like a death in your family. Those condolence calls just set your teeth on edge. My way of dealing with my breakup was to move on. The Harvard experience really rejuvenated me.

I've come back a different person. You watch 2010 is going to be the best year of my life.As Mr Bachchan would say, it's going to be mindboggling.”

Katrina Kaif refuses to do The Italian Job without Saif

Katrina Kaif is reconsidering taking on Abbas Mustan’s remake of ‘The Italian Job’. This is because her role is apparently rather unimportant.

Katrina is having second thoughts about the film since she read the script, even though she readily agreed at first. According to sources, since she started giving hits, she has become picky about her roles and won’t sign on anything just because it has big names. She also doesn’t want to sign on the film because she believes her role has no scope.

She was keen on doing the film at first because it starred Saif Ali Khan. But she lost interest in the film as soon as Saif left it.

This is not the first film she has turned down. In fact, in recent months, it’s the third film she has refused after agreeing to be a part of it initially, the other two being Sanjay Gadhvi’s ‘7 Days In Paris’ and Anees Bazmee’s ‘Thank You’.

However, she may agree to be a part of ‘The Italian Job’ if the necessary changes in the script are made.

Actors Abhay Deol and Nikhil Dwivedi and filmmaker Navdeep Singh were among the 1, 500 guests present at the pre-wedding bash celebrating the match between families of two prominent industrialists of Delhi.

We have not married secretly: Kareena-Saif

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are tired of media reports saying that they’ve gotten married secretly.

And the reports don’t stop there. They also claim that the couple has hidden the wedding not just from the public but also from their families. Naturally, the star couple isn’t smiling at this.

Apparently, there were rumors that the two of them got engaged in the presence of a maulvi on February 6th at Saif’s residence and that he’s also gifted a car to Kareena.

The couple is in a bad mood since this news is doing the rounds. Kareena has asserted that these rumors have no sense to them and that the couple will marry only after five years.

Well, how much longer will this couple battle with the media? Only time will tell.

It's not my sister Isabella in that raunchy video: Katrina

Katrina Kaif has set a new trend– she's merging business with a social cause and we are impressed!

Katrina's brands have been doing exceptionally well after having Katrina on board and are now passing on the goodwill to her mother's charity that work with unwanted and abandoned baby girls.

Reveals a source, “Katrina Kaif is the first Bollywood star to initiate brands into tying up with charitable trusts- in fact a certain diamond brand in question has just tied up with Katrina's mother Susanna's charitable organization Relief Projects India.”

We come to hear that this donation is an approximate 50 lakhs and many of Katrina's other brands are also contemplating such tie-ups.

So do we hear her contemporaries chasing to follow suit?

Katrina Kaif will soon be seen next in Farah Khan's 'Tees Maar Khan' alongside Bollywood Box office King Akshay Kumar. Talking about her co-star Katrina says, “He's my comfort zone, working with the same actor time and again doesn't provide any challenges, but with Akshay in the same frame, I am more at ease with my performance.”

Talking about her sister Isabella's name being dragged to the raunchy video episode, Kat says, "The video has been circulating for the last six months and it's absolutely fake! "

"My mom is freaking out over certain stories appearing in the papers and is planning to legal action. Even YouTube knows it's a fake video and that it's not Isabella.

I request people not to harm a minor (Isabella is 17 years old) by carrying these fake videos. Do you think this video would be floating around for so many months if it was true?" she adds

Bihar Ki Beti Katrina is now learning Bhojpuri

This might come as a shocker as Bollywood's siren Katrina Kaif is now fond of learning new languages. The star who is half British by birth had to take up Hindi lessons when she just joined the industry and today Katrina Kaif is among the leading damsels in B-town.

Recently, she had been to Bihar for the promotion of her movie 'Raajneeti' and made an effort to address her fans in Bhojpuri.

A reliable source from the industry says, “Katrina Kaif is one hard working and determined star. She comes from having no background in Hindi to now being one of Bollywood's leading stars. ”

Continuing in the same breath our source adds, “Katrina Kaif recently bowled over her fans in Bihar by addressing them in a few Bhojpuri words and though she did make a small error- her effort was still appreciated. ”

Katrina Kaif has always attempted to learn new things, new languages and that is why she is one of the most sought after stars in the industry.
